Maryna McTague

Associate

Maryna brings a pragmatic, results-focused approach to workplace law. Her practice includes wrongful and constructive dismissal, discipline and discharge, accommodation and disability management, human rights and harassment, and the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. She also conducts independent workplace investigations and represents students in academic discipline and appeal matters.

Maryna has appeared as counsel before labour arbitrators, administrative tribunals and all levels of court in Alberta. Known for her clear advice and client-focused approach, she helps her clients navigate complex workplace situations with confidence and clarity.

In addition to her practice, Maryna is a Sessional Instructor of Employment Law at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. She is also Co-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Labour & Employment Law Section (Edmonton North) and a regular presenter on labour and employment topics for Lancaster House and other continuing legal education providers.

When she’s not working, Maryna is usually chasing her toddler and her dog, snowboarding or hiking in the Rockies or making her way through Edmonton’s food scene - one bite (and beverage) at a time.
